Multiscale modeling of composite materials and Structures with DIGIMAT & ANSYS
In this paper, we briefly introduce two multi-scale modeling approaches, namely the Mean-Field Homogenization (MFH) and Finite Element Homogenization (FEH) methods. These powerful techniques relate the microscopic and macroscopic stress and strain fields when modeling material behaviors and hence can capture the influence of the material microstructure (i.e. fiber orientation, fiber content, fiber length, etc.) on its macroscopic response...

modeFRONTIER version 3.2.2 released
ES.TEC.O. srl Headquarters announces the release of modeFRONTIER version 3.2.2, a minor release of the modeFRONTIER system fully compatible with previous versions 3.2.1 and 3.2.0

With version 3.2.2, some existing bugs have been fixed, including:

  • AVL AWS direct integration node: AVL license error message may have appeared during the evaluation of the second design belonging to the scheduler specified due to a bug in the AVL_DVI interface prior toAWS version 5.0.2
  • AVL AWS direct integration node: AVL parameters and modeFRONTIER variables must have the same names in order to set and extract the parameter values
  • Report Tool: Auto Report unexpected crash during the creation of the report file.
  • Optimization Algorithms: Fixed bug in the Levenberg-Marquardt optimization algorithm, which caused redundant design evaluations and unwanted message "LM: Lambda too big" in the Scheduler Log after the exact solution was found, due to a missing control procedure.
  • AMESim direct integration node: AMESim Node failed to start the AMEPilot driver when loading the model under
  • Linux/UNIX installations.
  • ProEngineer direct integration node: ProEngineer node blocked the modeFRONTIER run when in batch mode.

For further details, Users are requested to refer to the Release Notes page available in the modeFRONTIER v3 User Manual included in the distribution package or to contact the ES.TEC.O. support team at support@esteco.com.
