The aim of this project is to increase performances of F430GT2 rear wing. Rear wing development is usually a complicated task due to the large amount of parameters involved in wing shape description, together with the highsensitivity they heve in terms of performances. Also these parameters are strongly correlated, thus it is really hard to find the optimum set.
modeFRONTIER has been used to build a proper DOE and response surfaces to run optimisation on. A commercial CFD software has been used to calculate wings' DOE performances, the optimal wing found by optimisation on response surfaces was verified both in WT and by CFD simulation. |
