The future in automotive lighting is moving to LED technology. Power and fuel consumption save, style, compactness, reliability, new norms are some of the main reason of this tendency. But drawbacks exist. Thermal issues are coming from the coupling of heat and radiation of high power lamps with any electronic components. Thermal simulation are required to understand heat sinks efficiency, sensor’s location and LED effects against condensation and have been used to design the first full LED headlamp. |
