Abstract

In recent years the importance of control systems has been increasing rapidly, and as a consequence the need of a simulation that contemplates both mechanical and electronical aspects.
Our approach to achieve the best results is the use of a multibody software to reproduce the physical characteristics and Matlab/Simulink for the logical aspects.
One of the major problems associated with a control system is the optimal parameter estimation, however the counterpart of this kind of co-simulation is the duration of the process of optimization. For this reason we chose to use an optimization software such as ESTECO/modeFRONTIER to overcome the non-linear behavior of the problem.
The presentation will show the performance of the cosimulation process with modeFRONTIER optimization, the results achieved in terms of time-saving and quality of information.
