Polestar Racing is Volvo Car Corporations official motorsport partner. Polestar Racing build, develop and race Volvo C30 cars in the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) and occasionally also in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). In the process of developing the cars, Polestar Racing uses modeFRONTIER in many different areas, such as drive train, aerodynamics, suspension and tires. Polestar racing uses modeFRONTIER both as a tool of driving and analysing physical tests and connected with other simulation softwares e.g. Adams/Car and also an in house developed lap time simulation software. The presentation will give the audience a view of a few of the different methods where Polestar Racing uses modeFRONTIER to develop there Volvo C30 race cars. |
