Sculptor®: Cut Costs, Improve Designs, and Reduce Time to Market

Abstract

It is the goal of every engineering group to improve their design performance. The current system of design, develop, prototype, test, analysis, and then repeat the process can often take months of time and be very expensive. Sculptor® can lessen the expense and shorten the time required to bring new designs to market.
There are three significant advantages to adding Sculptor® to the process.
1) Sculptor® can reduce or eliminate the need to re-mesh between design iterations. This can save thousands of labor hours.
2) Sculptor® can find those small subtle changes that can be elusive in complex fluid dynamic problems. Often these shape changes are non-intuitive. Sculptor® set up in an iterative optimization loop can run many design iterations finding the solutions that would not be possible or too expensive with traditional methods.
3) Using Sculptor® and Back2CAD® optimized designs can be returned to their native CAD formats completing the design process in a fraction of the time using the methods of the past. When Sculptor® and Back2CAD® are used early in the process, designers and engineers can proceed with confidence, knowing they are heading in the correct direction.
