Early diagnosis of upstream Oil & Gas Flow Assurance problems by integrating modeFRONTIER with a transient multiphase fluid dynamic simulator

Abstract

In the context of the upstream Oil & Gas Industry, a semi-automatic process has been set-up for the early diagnosis of Flow Assurance problems from a limited amount of information. The process relies on the integration of the Optimizer modeFRONTIER with a multiphase transient fluid-dynamic code (MAST), developed by TEA Sistemi and eni e&p, and customized for the purpose. The presentation illustrates the issues addressed to satisfy the application constraints/targets and discusses the results obtained in a representative test case.
