- The libraries of components, materials and of the performance data can be modified in order to meet the requirements of the design team.
- It is possible to create and manage subsystems and composite components, that allow the analyst to simplify the construction and management of complex networks.
- It is possible to create new components by using a wizard, which helps to define the mathematical model describing the the behaviour of the new component.
- It is possible to create new solid, liquid and gas materials, starting from predefined templates. The physical properties of materials (density, viscosity, specific heat capacity, etc.) can be defined as constant values or in function of pressure and temperature.
- It is possible to perform the parametric design of plants with Flowmaster: this means that many components can be characterised by the same parameter; furthermore it is possible to perform parametric analyses by using a specific tool.
