Flowmaster V7 General Systems

flow04 The General System package is the Flowmaster core, which meets the modeling needs typical of some industries, such as Oil&Gas, Power Generation, Marine, Chemical, Process, etc. where specific fluid-dynamic phenomena

can lead to problems related to safety or to the design manufacturing cycle.
In all these cases, Flowmaster allows to perform specific fluid-dynamic and hydraulic analyses that can enhance the design process, optimize the production cycle and solve safety problems (water hammer, system instability and pressure waves) through the introduction of risk mitigation measures. Indeed, it is possible to perform analyses with compressible and incompressible fluids for steady-state and transient regimes, in isothermal conditions or in the presence of heat transfer. The presence of a comprehensive library of components including different types of pipes, valves, cylinders or pistons, heat exchangers, pumps and compressors, curves, junctions, orifices, etc. allows the simulation of networks of any type. The use of controller components allows to define complex logics controlling the behavior of specific components and to verify the behavior of networks in transient conditions or far from the design point. Moreover, it is possible to model the fluid mixing and to compute the mixture properties.
