Production Module is process-analysis CAE software that integrates workpiece material properties, CAD/CAM inputs, and machine dynamics to map forces, temperatures, chip loads, and more. Over the years, this technology has become integral to engineers looking to reduce costs and cycle times, maximize machine utilization, and reduce tool breakage. By displaying results visually, Production Module allows users to better understand machining processes to avoid potential problems and identify opportunities for improvements — ultimately reducing costs and cycle times, avoiding unnecessary capital equipment expenditures, and maximizing machine performance.

Technical Information

Production Module is a macro-level, physics-based process modeling software package which allows a user to study the entire tool path used in a particular process. Production Module predicts tool loads, tool temperature, identifies unstable cutting conditions and has an automated speed and feed optimization. Using Production Module, a user can analyze the tool loads along the tool path, reduce cycle time, improve part quality and tool life, avoid tool breakage and chatter, generate optimised NC programs avoiding unnecessary capital equipment expenditure while maximizing machine performance. Productivity and process efficiency can be improved through simulation, drastically reducing testing set up and cut time.
